Kaneni's thoughts

Message

To be more specific, our ideal model would be:
It's an "orchestra."

Before the orchestra members is the conductor (manager), but beyond that is obviously the audience. If each member (employee) does not have high skills, the orchestra as a whole will not be highly regarded. However, the same thing will happen if the whole is not unified. Our goal is to become a great orchestra, which means "to become a company that gives excellent satisfaction to customers," "to become a company that employees find rewarding and proud to work for," and "to become an attractive company for the local community."

Origin of Kaneni

Origin

It is said that the name originally came from the bidding tags for crabs and fish at the market. When bidding at the market, people would write their bids on the tags so that their bids were easy to identify. When they were writing their bids, they were busy, so they would simply write numbers like "1" or "2" on the tag, or write a circle or a mountain mark to distinguish them, and this is how the company name came about.

Officially, a shop name was needed to gain the right to participate in the auction, and when the villagers gathered to decide on a shop name, they started with a lock symbol and the numbers one, two, three, then a circle with one, two, three, and then a mountain with one, two, three, which is said to be the shop name we have today. It seems that "Kaneni" came to be called "Kaneni" because the lock symbol had the number two in it. This is why there are so many shop names with "kane" in them in Shibayama.

The origins of fishery store names at ports across the country are generally similar, and the difference between the two is that in some regions there are more names that end with a circle, which is probably due to the order in which such names were decided in the past.

The company's founder, Kunio Terakawa, two generations ago, had this idea in mind: "I want everyone to enjoy delicious crab. However, some people don't know how to eat raw crab after it's been caught. Let's make it even easier to eat, and let's put a price on the crab." This is why the name Kaneni came about, as it comes from the idea of "putting a price on crab," and also from Terakawa's motto, "holding money."
